1989

We created the Prenatal Care Access Initiative in 1989 to increase access to and utilization of prenatal healthcare and to improve childbirth outcomes for low-income women in Northern California.

The Prenatal Care Access Initiative inaugurates a long-standing Foundation focus on rural and prenatal health care

The Foundation’s Prenatal Care Access Initiative recruits obstetricians to establish medical practices in rural California communities and  increase access to and utilization of prenatal healthcare for low-income women in Northern California.
